Free unlimited entry to every exhibition, priority booking before public release, and the Members' Room above the Great Court.

Membership

Come back as often as you like

Members see exhibitions more than once, in the first week and then again quietly at the end. Membership runs for twelve months from the day you join, and every subscription supports free entry to the collection for everyone else.

Four kinds of Member

Select one to see what it includes and what it costs. Paying by Direct Debit takes ten pounds off any of them, and there is a lower rate for anyone under 26.

Is it worth it

Count the exhibitions

Entry to the Museum is free and always will be. Membership is about the ticketed exhibitions, so the honest way to judge it is to count how many you would see in a year.

What a Member gets that a ticket does not
  • Priority booking before tickets go on general sale, which decides whether you see the Bayeux Tapestry at all
  • The Members' Room above the Great Court, open all day
  • Members' events: previews, curator talks and mornings before the doors open
  • The Museum's magazine, three times a year, and 10% off in the shops and cafes

Closer to the collection

Patrons fund acquisitions and gallery refurbishment, and are invited behind the scenes with curators. Legacies have shaped whole rooms.
